It all started when I saw Second Life for the first time, when I was out in Arizona, at Arcosanti to perform at Different Skies, 2006 ... Tony Gerber was intent on evangelizing us all over breakfast by showing us the wonder of Second Life. I thought it might have possibilities ... little did I realize then ...
In October of that year, I signed on for the first time, creating the avatar AldoManutio Abruzzo. By the end of December, I was doing live audio streaming performances of my own, as Aldo ... lately, I've started doing installations with visual artists (check out the http://audiozoloft.com pages to hear some examples of that audio work (and watch the YouTube video a fan shot of one installation just below here on this page!).
I try to record all of my performances in Second LIfe and have released
several CDs, all part of the "Music From Second Life" series ... they are
being released under the "usr/sbin" project name, though, so
you will need to look for them that way and not under AldoManutio Abruzzo ...
Just opened this weekend (kicking off on Bastille Day) ... I am so pleased that someone (Evo, you are wonderful!) went and shot a machinima of the opening!
